The town of "Meaux", with its central control room, performs the combine functions of collecting and cleaning the wastewater from the local region and the surrounding seven towns. In order to supervise the large scale project, the Town of "Meaux" chose PANORAMA SCADA software.
The objective of "zero pollution" in the local river "Marne" is in the form of a contract with the "Agence de l'eau Seine Normandie" one of the main french water companies.
The wastewater processed by the plant conforms to European standards for water re-introduced to a river, with only :
- 15 mg/l of DB05 (carbon material)
- 50 mg/l of DCO (carbon material)
- 20 mg/l of Global Nitrogen of which 7 mg/l Ammonia nitrate
- 20 mg/l of suspended material and the elimination of 80% of Phosphorus

Biological

The sludge is treated by prolonged airiation in biologic channels in order
to remove the nitrogen and phrosphorus elements.
Sludge processing:
By centrifuge, then as an agricultural fertilizer.
