Panorama.emails

"Panorama.email" allows the system to automatically contact the duty operators, on an alarm or event condition, as defined in user maintainable "on-call" schedules
(available as an option for Panorama v8.0)

Main uses
Panorama.emails is designed for those who wish to be automatically contacted by the SCADA system when an event occurs that neccesitates informing somebody who is not working directly at one of the workstations (because they are working on the shopfloor, off-site, or are "on the road"). It also allows those who wish to return home, as opposed to staying on-site, to be contacted directly. Hence, an warning message can be sent to them as soon as an alarm or event occurs, of which they need to aware.

Solution
Panorama.emails resides on a data acquisition server and must be connected to a message handling system via a modem line. In this case, the messages are sent to a portable receiving device carried by the person(s) who are "on call". These devices will generally be a "pager" or mobile phone (message SMS). Panorama.emails can also be connected to a message box so that the warning messages can be sent by email to a predefined destination. Finally, Panorama.emails includes trigger schedules, which define when and to whom the messages will be sent (based upon the work schedule for example).

Advantages
Panorama.emails has been developed to work exclusively with Panorama. Its integration into the SCADA system is hence much more simple and far more reliable. It's NOT necessary to configure dedicated variables or to do any double configuration in order to use it.
With respect to sending SMS messages, a specific interface has been developed in order to guarantee a rapid delivery of the message on certain GSM networks.
A toolkit "
Panorama.tlks.sct " (Specific Call Treatment) allows specific message systems to be integrated, which have protocols specific to certain sites or certain companies
